A number of researchers found a World War I chocolate box. The 103-year-old chocolate box, and other personal items found with it, belonged to a British soldier who served in France during the First World War. It is reported that the chocolate box was sent to British soldiers during the Christmas period.
The British soldier, Richard Bolimore, was not a lover of chocolate or a lover of smoking. Bulimore ate only one out of 10 chocolate bars in the box, and only three cigarettes.
Chocolate can withstand a long time without any risk to health, but it may lose its original taste and shape, according to experts. Bolimor left military service in 1919 and returned to Britain where he was promoted to sergeant. It is expected that the cans of that soldier in an auction for old purposes.
