FIFA: Sell more than 2.4 million tickets a week before the World Cup

FIFA announced on Thursday that more than 2.4 million tickets had been sold a week before the start of the World Cup in Russia, which opens the match between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
While the Russian public has dominated the scene since opening the door for tickets in September 2017, other fans have received 54% of the tickets at the moment.
The Russian fans bought 871,797 tickets, followed by American fans, many of them Hispanic, with 88,000 tickets, despite their absence from the tournament.
The Brazilian public, who bought 72,000 and 512 tickets, followed by Colombian with 65,000 and 234 tickets, Germany with 62,000 and 541 tickets, and Mexico with 60,000 tickets.



The Argentinian fans received 54,000 tickets, Peruvian 43,000 and 583 tickets, Chinese 40,000 tickets and Australia 36,000 tickets.
According to the FIFA statement, another 100,000 tickets will be put up for sale on Friday.
