The most popular Eid al-Fitr sweets in Islamic countries


Muslims around the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr after fasting Ramadan. The rituals and manifestations of the celebration differ from one country to another, especially Eid sweets, which vary in their forms and types according to the culture of each country. Among the most important sweets that are offered during the Eid al-Fitr in different countries of the world:

Egyptian Al-Hakh
Egyptians are keen to provide many types of sweets during the feast, including: exotic, biscuits, and petit four, but the cakes (Kahk) Eid remains the most important and famous among them. It consists of flour, margarine, milk, yeast, nuts, milk or pastry, mixed in measured amounts.

Iraqi College

In Iraq, a few days before Eid, the ladies prepare the ingredients of the cake, a dessert stuffed with dates and sprinkled with rose water, served as a holiday during Eid, the most popular dessert in Iraq.


Sherkarma
Shirekrama is the main feast in Pakistan, consisting of barley, milk, dates and some nuts.

Al-Marqout and Al-Sharek
Algeria is famous for its many types of popular sweets, such as makrout, samsa, sharkak and exotic.

The Faqas
It is a dry dessert made from eggs, sugar, flour and yeast, and can be added to other ingredients such as fruit or dry or dry milk and can add almonds or raisins.

Applicable
It is considered one of the most popular Eid sweets in the Levant (Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Palestine) and is prepared from semolina, flour, and stuffed with dates, nuts or pistachios.
